These Japanese denim jeans are made in Japan and produced by Studio D'artisan (SDA Studio Dartisan). Studio D'artisan is a modern denim label established in 2006, based in Kojima, Okayama, Japan, where is the birth place of Japanese domestic jeans. Studio D'artisan's products are introduced Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary elements into american classic clothing making. The pattern construction of these jeans is modeled after American classic Jeans with five-pocket design, but these jean pants have been re-designed with the Studio D'artisan's brand own detailing, contemporary interpretation and modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. Made of a 100% cotton unlined, single-ply, non-stretch, pre-washed (one-washed) 15 Oz. medium-weight Japanese selvage indigo denim. The yarns used for the warp are hand dyed with genuine natural indigo (Awa Shoai Aizome) using traditional dyeing techniques from Tokushima, Japan. The yarn is thicker than that for machine dyeing. Therefore the denim fabric has a unique uneven finish that is completely different from ordinary denim. This natural indigo dyed denim has a richer, deeper and pure Japan blue shade, while a unique, irregular, uneven and rugged texture due to the thicker slub fibers. On the surface of these slubby streaky denim, lines of white threads run vertically, it adds the beautiful contrast between indigo and white colors. These jeans are a unique and attractive casual item that blends Japanese tradition style with American vintage style. Lay Jeans flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist.
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam.
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.

This results white yarn stick out from the surface of the weave, creating a snowy look. On the surface of these slubby streaky denim, lines of white threads run vertically, it adds the beautiful contrast between indigo and white colors. A white/red line selvedge details ID can be seen along the interior outseam and inside coin pocket opening. These jeans has been washed once. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage. And the more you wear, the more fabric will fade beautifully.

Storage : Two embossed copper riveted scoop hand pockets in front. One embossed copper riveted coin pocket in front. Two open-top patch pocket with concealed rivets in back both side.
Closure Type : Button fly. 5 buttons on front opening. Front buttons are embossed design silver-colored metal buttons.
Other details : Five belt loops for better support of your belt. The back-center belt loop is placed sligthly beside the center based on a vintage feature. Leather patch is applied to back-right-side waistband. Since this item is indigo-dyed, it's prone to crocking, or color transfer, so wear (and wash) it with dark colors till it's worn in.
